All Kinds of | Facial Oils and Balms
As you may have guessed, winter is well and truly one hundred per cent upon us, and boy is it making its presence known! Of course, apart from leaving us absolutely freezing, rocketing our heating bills, and not allowing us to be at home during daylight hours, winter also attacks our hair, skin, and bodies. Today's post introduces you to the concept of oils and balms, and the ways in which they can allow for a wonderful wintery you! Oils and balms are quite simply amazing, tranformational products. They can give instant effects, but the effects tend to also be cumulative, and they are the perfect little drops of luxury for a lovely pamper.
In terms of cleansing, I personally love an oil or a balm cleanse - my hardest-working products being L'oreal's Skin Perfection 15 Second Cleansing Oil, Botanics Cleansing Balm, Eve Lom's Cleansing Balm and good old Coconut Oil. I would start my cleanse (I always double cleanse - you should to if you use SPF or make up) with the Cleansing Pads from skinChemists, infused with the anti-ageing Syn-ake, then, to use, choose your oil/balm weapon, warm in the palms of hand, and sweep over the entire face, starting at the eyes, then massaging the entire visage. Remove with a hot flannel and tah-dah - beautifully cleansed, soft skin.
Now, to really pamper your skin - the application of a beautiful oil. Of course, my top picks are both from skinChemists, just because we happen to do them so well. Depending on your needs, you can choose from Wrinkle Killer Facial Oil or our newest addition to the range - the Bee Venom Facial Oil. Both are infused with Vitamins B and E for general skin health, Vitamin C to protect from free radicals and give healthier, brighter, younger looking skin, along with Rose Stem Cells to protect against environmental stresses and the weather. Of course, the Wrinkle Killer Oil has Syn-ake to help with those signs of ageing you may be worried about. The Bee Venom Oil contains both Bee Venom and Manuka Honey to plump and regenerate the skin. Both are wonderful at soothing parched, winter-weary skin, and have a lovely non-greasy texture suitable for all skin types.
What are your favourite oils and balms?
Much Love, the sC Team x
