New Year, New You!
With the 2019 party season out of the way, we look forward to the promise of a new year to turn over a new leaf and achieve new goals.
I'm not sure about you, but I'm trying to continue a few basic skincare habits this year. These are:
Hydration from the inside out - drinking a minimum of two litres of water per day and three litres on gym days and warmer days.
Exfoliating - once or twice per week (I need to cut down on this one)
Mask - twice per week (I need to increase this one)
Hydration. The skin is our biggest organ and drinking enough water goes a long way towards preventing our skin from becoming dry, tight and flaky, which sets the scene for ageing. By staying hydrated we help the digestive system to flush out toxins, leading to clearer, more balanced skin, plus we have a better base on which our skincare products can work.
Exfoliating. I love exfoliating and I probably exfoliate too much at about 3-4 times per week, so my goal is to reduce this to just once or twice per week to prevent counteracting its positive effects.
Masks. Masks are a must do for me. I find them fantastic for reducing my pores and balancing my skin but I tend not to do them enough! So this year, I will be applying a mask twice per week.
Recently, I've been discovering more about the positive effects of Retinol products on the skin and have been testing some of our skinChemists Retinol products on my skin, which I look forward to sharing more on in upcoming emails.
If like me, you find it difficult to prioritise taking time out to apply a mask, a better product for you and I is the skinChemists Venom Mask

This is because we can apply it at night instead of a night moisturiser and sleep with it on. Two birds, one stone! Aren't we getting efficient in 2020!
