Friday Night Beauty Bag

Last week, I told you all about my failsafe routine for smooth limbs and shiny skin in Thursday Night Pamper Time. Now it’s time to follow up with The Friday Night Beauty Edit-long week over, it’s time to shut down the computer and freshen up for a big night of fun! Here we have my essential desk-side beauty bits for a party-face on the quick…

1. Caudalie Beauty Elixir

An oldie, but a goodie. This little gem has done the beauty rounds, but there is just nothing like it for refreshing and kickstarting your skin. It’ll rehydrate your skin and prepare it for base touch-ups.

3. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer Blemish hiding, eyebag shrouding, wonderstuff. ‘Nuff said. I blend it in to the areas that need that extra bit of coverage with my Real Techniques Setting Brush- dense enough to keep the coverage, yet fluffy enough for an even product distribution. Done.

5. Bourjois Pot Rouge in ‘Rose Frisson’ Not too sheeny, not too matte, and a perfect, natural, dusty rose shade that will work well with every makeup look AND light to dark medium skin tones. It’s a good ‘un, and even comes Lisa Eldridge Recommended.

4. L’Oreal Paris Lumi Magic Primer I use a small amount of this on top of my cheekbones to add some luminosity to my newly concealed and rouged face. The liquid provides a sheen, with nary a glitter particle in sight, so the overall look of the makeup post-use is much more fresh- I find it reduces cake-face.

5. Revlon Just Bitten Kissible Kissable Balm Stain in ‘Romantic’ A perfect way to add some fancy to your face without going totally 80s. One swipe, rubbed into the lips (my preferred application) will give a little flush, and add a little brightness, without danger of ever being OTT.

There we have it: five products. Excess shine banished, base evened, and a pop of colour to the cheeks and lips. Low maintenance beauty at its best! Now, time to get moving, Happy Hour awaits!
